IP checker - Accessible tool to check public and local IP addresses by TD Programs.
--
1. What is it?
IP checker is a simple tool for quickly checking different IP addresses, which can show information about any public IPv4 or IPv6 address, show your current external IP, show full details of your current external IP, show your local internal IPv4 address from the current machine, and allows you to open your router administrative panel in the default browser.
App uses the IP-API internet service for checking external IPs and providing information about them:
https://ip-api.com/
Important notes:
1. On virtual machines, depending on the network configuration, the app may show incorrect or misleading results for internal IP and router configuration panel.
2. Internet connection is required for all public IP options.
2. How it works?
Just open the IpChecker.exe and select the option which you are interested in.
2.1. Check any IP:
To get all available information about any IP address, use the "Check any IP" button.
Type any public IPv4 or IPv6 address into the text box and press Check. Probably, a domain address will also work, but it is not officially supported.
The application sends the request to ip-api.com and opens a details window with the returned data.
In the details window you can use the Copy button to copy the full result to the clipboard.
2.2. Checking your external IP:
If you only want to check your external IP, use the "Check your external IP" option.
The app will show you your current IP address and ask if you want to copy it to the clipboard.
If you want to get full information about your IP address, as with the "Check any IP" button, use the "Show my external IP details" button.
A full details window will appear.
2.3. Checking your internal IP in the network:
Use the "Check your internal IP in the network" button.
App will try to check your internal IP and, if possible, will show a window like the "External IP" one, which also allows you to copy it to the clipboard.
2.4. Open router configuration:
Use the "Open router configuration" button.
App will try to read the default gateway address from the current machine and, if successful, will ask whether you want to open the router configuration panel in your browser.
